  1. As you may recall from other posts, I stayed in London last summer (I hope to go back this year) and used AirBnB’s (2 out of 3 were excellent. One was a glorified flophouse). I wish I had know about these cheap hotels in Southwark. Anyways, the reason I stayed there was that I heard hotels in Europe are pricey. However, looking through your blogs and based on discussions with fellow travelers, it sounds like hotels have really come down in price. What are your thoughts on Air BnB’s vs. hotels?

    1. I actually use both hotels and airbnb. Actually, London has always had many amazing cheaper options but granted in recent years there have been more hotels that have opened up which has also brough more opportunities for cheap hotels in central London like Southwark and beyond.

  2. I have always loved cheap hotels. I am glad, now I can make the best choices for my next journey. This list is the best I have seen so far on the internet. I might have to compare their prices vs their facilities to decide on which one to go for.

  3. I am having a really hard time budgeting my trip here. I will be going out to London to visit my fiance. He has come to America several times but this will be my first trip here. Since he will be in London for work, he wanted me to pick a hotel for us to stay in together. I offered to pay this time but I have to be aware of my budget. Which hotel would you say is the most budget-friendly while getting the most bang for your buck?
